If your property is in pre-foreclosure, one date matters most: the scheduled foreclosure sale date.
If you are considering selling the property, the sooner you know that date and share it with the people handling the transaction, the more time there is to review the property, make an offer, complete title work, obtain payoff information, and close.
First, confirm where you stand
Contact your mortgage servicer and confirm:
- your scheduled foreclosure sale date, if one has been set;
- the amount needed to reinstate or pay off the loan; and
- whether any foreclosure-prevention option, adjustment, or additional time may be available for your loan.
Options vary by loan and servicer. Do not assume a scheduled sale has been postponed unless your servicer or another authorized party confirms it.
If you are considering selling, start early
Getting a purchase offer is only the first step. A completed sale can also require title review, mortgage payoff information, signatures, and time to resolve any title or lien issues.
That is why waiting until the final days can make a sale harder to complete.
Want to know what CashAsIs can offer?
If selling is an option you are considering, send us:
- The property address
- Your scheduled foreclosure sale date
- Any recent foreclosure notice you have available
We can review the property and let you know what we can offer.
The sooner we have the information, the more time there is to get the purchase completed if you decide to sell.

CashAsIs is a property buyer, not a lender, law firm, or foreclosure-relief service. For questions about your loan or foreclosure rights, contact your mortgage servicer or a qualified professional.
